Couples Therapy
Relationships Counselling
Relationships are some of the most meaningful — and most challenging — parts of being human. When communication breaks down, trust fractures, or connection fades, it can feel isolating and overwhelming. Sometimes it's hard to even know where to start.
Relationship therapy offers a space to untangle what's happening between you — with the support of a skilled, impartial therapist who is invested in both of you. We work with couples and diverse relationship structures to rebuild communication, repair trust, and deepen the connection that brought you together in the first place.
Find your way back to each other — and forward together.
Communication & Conflict
You don't have to be in crisis to seek support.
When the same arguments keep cycling, conversations shut down before they start, or things are said that are hard to take back — therapy helps you understand what's really happening beneath the conflict, and find a way to actually hear each other.
Trust & Betrayal
Whether you're navigating infidelity, broken promises, or a slow erosion of trust over time — rebuilding is possible. Therapy offers a structured, safe space to process what happened, understand how you got here, and decide together what comes next.
Distance & Disconnection
Life Transitions & Pressure
Sometimes there's no dramatic rupture — just a slow drift. You're sharing a life but not really sharing it. Relationship therapy helps you find your way back to genuine intimacy, understanding, and connection.
New baby, career change, loss, illness, relocation, blended families — major life changes put relationships under enormous pressure even when you love each other deeply. Therapy offers a space to navigate change together, without losing each other in the process.
Our Process:
The Assessment Phase
We don't guess. We assess. Relationship therapy is not a casual chat. To ensure we are giving you the best chance of success, we follow a rigorous, evidence-based protocol. No therapeutic work begins until the assessment is complete.
This initial phase is purely diagnostic. It allows us to understand the full scope of your dynamic, identify safety issues, and determine the most effective path forward.
Step 1: The Initial Joint Session We begin with a joint meeting to establish rapport, discuss your presenting concerns, and explain the assessment process.
Step 2: Completion of the Gottman Assessment Both partners will complete a comprehensive Gottman Method Assessment. This includes detailed questionnaires and interviews that map your relationship's strengths, vulnerabilities, and specific conflict patterns.
Step 3: Individual Sessions Following the joint assessment, each partner meets individually with the therapist.
Why? This allows us to hear your personal history, individual goals, and any concerns you may not feel comfortable sharing in front of your partner yet. It is a safe space to be completely honest.
Step 4: The Feedback & Treatment Planning Session We reconvene for a final joint session to review the findings from the assessment and individual meetings.
We will discuss what the data reveals about your dynamic.
We will co-create a tailored treatment plan with clear goals.
We will determine if standard therapy is the right fit, or if a more intensive approach (like Marathon Therapy) is recommended.
Only after this 4-step assessment is complete do we begin the therapeutic work.
Session Formats: Choose Your Pace
🌿 The 50-Minute Session
$300
Best for: Follow-ups, maintenance, and accessible check-ins. While our standard is 75 minutes, we offer 50-minute sessions for couples who need a lower barrier to entry, are on a tighter budget, or are using these as follow-up "tune-ups" after the initial intensive work.
Ideal for: Checking in on homework, managing acute stressors, or maintaining momentum between longer sessions.
🚀 The 75-Minute Session (Standard)
$450
Best for: The core work of therapy. This is our recommended standard for relationship therapy. The extra 25 minutes is crucial. It allows time for both partners to speak, for us to intervene in real-time during conflicts, and to practice new skills without rushing.
Ideal for: Deep processing, breaking negative cycles, and building intimacy.
⚡ The 2-Hour Intensive
$780
Best for: Deep dives, crisis intervention, and rapid breakthroughs. For couples who want to jump straight into the heart of the matter, or who are visiting Melbourne and want to maximize their time with us. These sessions allow for extended processing and immediate application of tools.
Ideal for: Couples ready to tackle major blocks, resolve long-standing resentments, or make a decisive shift in their relationship trajectory.
A follow up session is highly recommend.
